Marlo Thomas stars in That Girl which aired in 1967-1968 and regularly ranked in the top 5 television shows airing at that time. On September 20, 1967, Variety reported that That Girl held 27.5% of the TV viewing audience. This substantial number continued to grow through the season and by January 1968, Nielsen polls showed 45.4% of the TV audience was tuning in. Season Two debuted with one of the most popular episodes from the series. Box set includes all 30 color episodes from the second season, along with rare bonus material and guest appearances by Sid Caesar, Rob Reiner, Teri Garr, Ruth Buzzi, Rich Little, Bill Bixby, Norman Fell, Joan Blondell and Ethel Merman. What is this auction funding?

The Virginia Avenue Project is a free after-school program that uses the Arts in conjunction with long-term, one-on-one mentoring to help Los Angeles kids realize their full potential.

This auction funds these two programs:

The ONE-ON-ONES helps kids discover what is unique about how they express themselves. Following a 4-month performing workshop, each Project kid is matched up with a professional writer/actor who writes an original play for both of them to perform. After a week in Ojai rehearsing, swimming, group activities and more swimming, we come back to LA and perform the plays in a professional theater free of charge to a public audience.

CREATIVE EXPRESSION at Dorsey High School combines acting and playwriting and teaches students how to communicate vocally, physically and emotionally. Storytelling, clowning, puppetry, improvisation, characterization and other aspects of acting/performing, as well as the basics of playwriting cause Dorsey students to gain an awareness of their creative abilities.
